Started
as a DJ at 15 as roadie and warm up for the Sheldon Rhodes mobile disco
show, moving up to club work at 17 on the South Coast doing clubs in the
late 70's and early 80's such as the Sundowners, Emma's, Toff's, Saturdays,
etc.
I was a founder member of the DY Federation (DJ's Union - yeah right,
but the meetings always involved hangovers!) and worked with people such
as Hamilton Bohannon, KC and the Sunshine Band, The Olympic Runners, Emperor
Rosco, Tony Prince, etc, plus I helped compile the Radio Luxembourg chart
every week.
Decided in 1983 to get a 'day job' having done 21 sets a week for over
3 years so I went into running bars / clubs such as Bilko's in Croydon.
For my sins have always been a Wimbledon FC supporter, love snow skiing,
fast cars, bad women, and fat tunes.
Favourite memories... listening to Robbie Vincent's 'Long hot soulful
summer' show on the radio, playing with a live tiger cub, and every Caister
event (well, the bits I remember next morning!).
