First Serious Gig - Global village

Grew up in Gravesend Kent was influenced by my brother in law, who used to import obscure soul tracks from the States. Then by my good friend Clive Francis who introduced me to "Record Corner" in Balham and Comtempo in Hanway street. There was no going back, Found great clubs like Global village, Crackers on Friday lunch times, 100 club, Lacy Lady , Goldmine, and the Atlantis in Margate on Bank Holidays.Found a young wannabee dj called Pete Tong and became his roadie at places like The Nelson, Gravesend, Kings Lodge, Hilltop, Island Hotel ,Elizabethan Barn , progressing on to Purley all dayers, Knebworth and Ally Pally all dayers and culminating in my spiritual home of Caister. I was the founding member of the famous Kent tribe "Gravesend Groovers", who you may remember form the Woodvile Halls all dayers.

After a rest from the scene due to twins !!!! I returned on to the scene along with my great friends from the "South Of The River Crew" 8 years ago, luckily Caister HQ recognised our enormous youthful talent and after a damp apprenticeship in the pool I can now be found in the T-Zone & Main Room at Caister as well as a regular at Soul Heaven and with the SOTRC at Kent Soul Sessions gigs every month.

Musically i am a bit of traditional Soul and Jazz-Funk Lover.and a shameless anthems fan, but always on the look out for Modern soul . Can occasionally be seen in company with "Dad Collins" dueting at Caister .

My other hobby is as a Warrant Officer in the Royal Naval Reserve , and I was decorated QVRM in the 2003 New Years Honours List

And by the way I support CHELSEA
